TERRORISM
PROBATION
United States v. S. W., United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia at Alexandria.
Ms. S.W. was charged with Making a Terrorist Threat involving anthrax at the post office where she worked. Although she confessed, Mr. Amolsch showed the government that Ms. S.W. suffered from various mental health issues, and persuaded the government to dismiss the terrorism charge. As a result, Mr. Amolsch negotiated a deal which allowed Ms. S.W. to plead guilty to delaying the mail, a significantly reduced charge, and to receive a sentence of probation.
