TERRORISM
NOT GUILTY
United States v. Caliph Basha Ibn Abdur Raheem, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia at Alexandria.
A case of international significance, the government charged Mr. Abdur Raheem with being part of an Islamic terrorist organization actively training in Northern Virginia. Despite an alleged confession to the FBI; testimony from nationally recognized terrorism experts; and testimony for numerous cooperating witnesses, the Court found Mr. Abdur Raheem Not Guilty on all charges. Of the six defendants in the two-week trial, Mr. Abdur Raheem was the only person found Not Guilty and released.
