MURDER
ONLY 7 YEARS FOR ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE CAPITAL MURDER
United States v. S.H., United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin at Milwaukee.
An Army sergeant once named ""Soldier of the Year"", Sgt. S.H, pleaded guilty to Attempted First Degree Capital Murder for hiring a Milwaukee-area friend to murder his pregnant wife. Though facing 135 months in jail, Mr. Amolsch argued that Sgt. S.H. should receive a significantly lower sentence due to, among other things, his diminished capacity amd service to his country. After considering these arguments, Sgt. S.H received a sentence of only 87 months, 4 years less than sought by the government.
