INTERNET SOLICITATION OF A MINOR
6 MONTH SENTENCE AND NO SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION
Commonwealth v. M.M., Circuit Court for Stafford County, Virginia.
Mr. M.M. was charged with Internet Solicitation of a Minor after engaging in an on line chat with an undercover agent posing as 13 year old girl. Mr. M.M. was arrested at a McDonald's restaurant after driving over 50 miles to meet who he thought was a young girl. Upon being arrested, Mr. M.M. immediately confessed. Despite the overwhelming evidence of guilt, Mr. Amolsch, through the use of various experts, successfully negotiated a plea that allowed Mr. M.M. to avoid registering as a sex offender and a sentence of only 6 months.
